The epidemic of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, and obesity, is a growing global health crisis, profoundly impacting societies through healthcare costs, reduced quality of life, and mortality rates.
Modern industrial medicine, in spite of its hopes and promises, is unable to solve this worldwide epidemic. Conscientious people across the world are reconnecting with time-tested holistic healthcare traditions for solutions to these modern lifestyle diseases.
Following in the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Wholesome Living weekend retreat aims to help you restore your connection with nature – Fitrah, get more in balance with nature’s rhythms, and live a healthier lifestyle.
Hakim M Salim Khan M.D. (M.A.) M.H. D.O. authored the book ‘Islamic Medicine’, originally published in 1986. He is the principal of the College of Medicine and Healing Arts and has 45 years experience learning, practicing, and teaching Tibb – Islamic Medicine, including Tibb-un-Nabawi and Nafsiyat.
Hakim Salim has studied and collaborated with prominent Hakims as well qualified in many Complementary & Alternative modalities such as herbal medicine, nutrition, osteopathy, iridology, psychotherapy, and counselling.
This programme is a unique opportunity to benefit in-person, directly from his rich legacy of service and dedication to the Tibb tradition.
